Meet Emily
Therapy is about relationship and who we are together as people. These are three defining pieces of me as a therapist:
1. I walk the walk. While I am boundaried and professional in my role as a therapist, I don't put on a mask and come to work. I show up as myself, a person who works with mindfulness, embodiment, and the principles behind PACT couples counseling every day in my own life and committed partnership. I do this because it is the best way I have found to navigate the humbling and beautiful task of being human. I know this work and and am here to guide you on your journey. I am dedicated to helping you become curious about your own internal experience and inner map, and through this work, gain the freedom to live the life you were born to live.
2. I’m a mom. I have two daughters I love beyond anything I have ever known. Raising them challenges me on a daily basis in ways I would have never expected. Being a mom has positively and profoundly impacted who I am as a therapist; being a parent ongoingly demands I do my own personal work. Attachment work - helping you heal earliest, core relationship issues - is at the heart of what I do with many clients.
3. I love the earth and draw from this love in my work as a therapist. I am not exaggerating to say I have literally slept on the ground outdoors for thousands of nights. I lived, worked, and taught in the deserts and mountains of Utah, Wyoming, Oregon and California year-round for ten years. Working with me, you have access to the knowledge, connection, and depth that comes from my feet truly being on the earth.
I value myself as a therapist who is direct, loving, and deeply involved in living life. If this is the kind of person you're looking to work with, you've come to the right place.
