Telehealth Sessions
I offer video counseling ("telehealth") via a HIPPA-compliant platform on my client portal, Simple Practice. I also offer sessions over the phone. Via telehealth I am able to serve clients in locations across the states of Colorado and Wyoming, where I am licensed.
Phone or video sessions are an effective way to engage in therapy if you are sick, want to avoid snowy roads, if you prefer the comfort of your home for therapy, or if you are located remotely. I will send you a unique link to my video conference platform and you simply click the link a minute or two prior to our session beginning. That's it! No aps to download or programs to install. Are video or phone sessions as effective as in-person therapy? Yes! We will use the same grounding and awareness practices to begin sessions on the phone or video as we would in person. This sets the stage for an effective and meaningful session where we will use the same tools - mindfulness, body-awareness, and even EMDR - that we would in an in-person session. If I do video or phone sessions, can I also come to in-person sessions? Yes, you can use all types of sessions as suit your needs. What do I need for video sessions? All you need is a space with privacy where you can talk freely, your phone, computer or laptop, and a good internet connection. What are your fees for video or phone sessions? I charge $160 for a 55 minute individual session, and $240 for a 85 minute couples session. I accept credit cards, cash, check, or HSA accounts. I am an "out of network" provider, which means I do not work directly with insurance companies. I am happy to provide you with an invoice to submit to your insurance on your own for reimbursement according to your policy. |
